Smells Like Heaven

I was at Sprouts Farmers Market with my friend Kari one day last week and I was smelling all their deemed acceptable beauty products. I have always been allergic to coconut for as far back as I can remember. I have always loved the way it smells and taste so I have got my self in trouble a few times. Well I guess pregnancy does funny things to your body my friends because this girl can use products containing coconut with out breaking in to hives. Still to scared to try and eat any though.
Well I fell in love with Burt's Bees Baby Bee products. They smell like heaven, and have less chemicals in them then Johnson's and Johnson's. I am not a hater trust me we still use J&J. It just that I can now use products that smell like the beach again and I love it. I could just eat my little man up after he has had a bath.
Oh man and their radiance line is amazing, I want all of it. Right now I only have the body lotion but can't wait to get there day creme and the body wash. Why did I have to be allergic to one the best smelling things out there? I can't imagine all the fun skin care products I get to try now.

Word less Wednesday

Us on a walk on the prettiest day so far, it was cool, breezy, and sunny. The carrier am wearing is a Ellaroo Mei Hip Carrier. I am love with it. It goes around my hip and buckles or tie. The strap that goes around. Your shoulder spreads out across everything to distribute the weight evenly. I walked over a mile today and never once did it hurt to carry my 17 lbs baby.

Not all sunshine and roses

For the past few weeks Casey has been extremely short with borderline rude. I couldn't figure out what it was that I was doing wrong. Tuesday night, he came home cranky from the moment he walked in the door. I finally talked with him about what was bothering him, talking with this man is like pulling teeth. He is just tired form going back to work, stressed about me staying home (at the same time he is happy), and over all just wore out. Well last night and the night before he went to bed early and today he is much better spirits. I am going blind here from the lack of adult actives, anybody out there have any advice to get your sex life back after having a baby?

Thursday I suffered my first major cooking injure. Left me start by saying that I have never been a big homemade try new things kinda cook, but since I am staying home now things are changing. I was peeling potatoes with my peeler and I cut a huge chunk out of the tip of my left pointer finger. It is still healing but my homemade mashed potatoes, green beans, and made from scratch chicken tenders turned out amazing. On this weeks menu chicken speg., some weird chk dish (will blog abou tit after I cook it and I can't remember the rest.

Well our nice three day weekend is drawing to a close. I am both sad and happy to see Casey go back to work tomorrow. Mostly glad though to not have by TV be taken up by a man and his wii, he got the he new punch out game that came out last week and he's already beat it.

They let us come back

With this beautiful weather we are having here in Texas right now some friends and I decided that today zoo would be the perfect place to go. Ian also took his very first train ride today to the zoo, I am not sure which one he liked better the zoo or the train. He did nap some while we were there, but he did wake up in time to see most of the big animals. All he really missed was the reptile house. He was scared of the elephant, puzzled by giraffes, and entranced by rhinos.

First Trip to the E.R.

This afternoon after Ian's nap we were headed down the stairs to play, when I lost my footing. So as we're falling Ian slips out of my arms and slides down about four steps crying the whole way. So I get up and run to him pick him up and check and see if he is all right, as far as I can see everything is fine. 15 minutes later he is still screaming at the top of his lungs but I can't see anything wrong. I then call the peds office who recommended taking him to the E.R. It is at that moment I realized. That I hurt my back and tail bone in the fall and can't really drive, so I call Abby. She arrives we head to the hospital. Once we arrived there was surprisingly only a few ppl ahead of us. Once we got to the back where he got checked out, I was told he was fine to watch for a few things and we were on our way. So now that he has been to the E.R. hopefully we won't be going again (ever) for a long time.

Last Weekend

Sorry it took so long to get this post finished, my SIL and her Husband graduated from college last weekend. I was a little sad they are now moving across the state for him to go into law school. It was nice though to see everybody together. We also spent an evening with Casey's best friend, Elizabeth was kind enough to watch Ian during SIL's graduation so he wouldn't have to sit through it. The plans were to just spend Friday night and drive home Saturday, but that all changed once we got down there and realized how happy our visit was making FIL. Well I am being reminded we have to leave for the movies in 20 mins so here is some pics from last weekend.

I am Now a SAHM

As of Sunday, I started a new adventure of being a sat at home mom. Wish me luck as dive in head first to a world of unknown. I am trying to get our routine figured out. Anybody have any tips. I had planned on Monday to unpack from our trip to the IL's last weekend, that didn't happen Ian's gum's were hurting so I got nothing accomplished. Yesterday was a little better I got the suitcases moved to the rooms in which they need to be unpacked. Now today I need to tackle the ever growing pile of laundry.

Enough about my boring day to day. This weekend is going to be new and different, Casey' s little sis is taking for the weekend for our 2 year anniversary. We won't know what to do with out the little guy for two and half days.

My first mother's day was no different than another day, I didn't even get a card. It was nothing like last years, when I found out that I was going to be a mom.
