As casey and I dined on our patio this evening. It dawned on me that I wanted nothing more then to be where I was. That even with all the hardships, I would change nothing because if I did I might not be where I am today.

Reflections of a Small Town Kid...
I started this post over three weeks ago and have had many versions. My main issue was what to reflect upon my childhood or my young adulthood. Both time periods have helped shape me in to the woman I am today. So after many drafts I decided that my young adulthood won out, it is the time in my life where,I left home, made some mistakes but through all that found me.
I had a major car accident in the fall of my senior year, that resulted in a long hospital stay and a stint in a wheelchair (another post for another day about how this country is not wheel chair friendly). So my parents convinced me I should live at home while attending school my freshman year. Well with that decision my journey began. Within that first year at home many things happened. I had my first run in with a bad boy, found my first real love, had my first real job, and my first major heartbreak. With all of those incidents I realized that B-town was not the town were I wanted to be. So as my sophomore year of college dawned, I decided I was moving away from home by the next May, come hell or high water. During the nine months it took me to move, I found the wolf in sheep's clothing, met my future husband (who at the time I thought was a gigantic moron), lost childhood friends, and learned any challenge presented can be over come with a little faith, time and effort.
Once reaching my new home, it dawned on me that things would never be the same. In the frist few months I was down there, I felt the most alone I have ever felt (never move to a college town at the beginning of summer if all your friends are going home). So after a couple of lonely months, I ended up at the same Karaoke night as Casey. At the time I didn't know that choosing Karaoke over playing pool, would be a decision that helped to shape my life the way it is today. Over the next year and half my life in the B/CS is where I found my wings.
More to come...

Earth Day
So today Casey and I took the rail today for the first time. We were seeing how long it took and how far it was from his office. He is so lucky his building is right there at the station. Now it is up to me to convince him to take the train and stop driving. While we were waiting for the train, we walked down the street to the only Central Market close to our house Man I love that store, I was apple to find caramel apple butter.
Today I think we may have found the person to care for Ian during the day. I will say more about it after our 2 week trail. I decide to that we would work together for 2 weeks and if either wants out we can part ways no questions asked.
I have to thank my friend abby so much for watching Ian tonight.
The view from casey's office.

Tired
The previous mentioned reflection post is still in the works didn't like what I had so I started all over.
Well Casey got offered a job!!!! He starts Monday, so that leaves me less then a week to find and make childcare arrangements. This is going to be tough.
Work is going well we just rebuilt our promo aisle display it is now Tiki themed. I really like the main display piece I will post a pic later. I am really liking this store and the managers. Some of my co-workers and I are going to be bowling in a league starting in June, I am so excited.
Ian is getting so big so quickly it is amazing at how fast he changes, he can now laugh.
Seeing the Wizard of Oz on stage was unreal. It is one of my favorite movies. The sets where very well put together. Whoever acted as the scarecrow did an amazing job.
I miss College Station so much. I love everything about that town so much. If it was possible I would love to move back there to raise Ian. It has a small town feeling with almost everything you could want to do already there.
It was good to see Flop and Nintendo. I wish that it was possible to see them more often.
Well I think I have rambled on enough tonight, more to come of the past few weeks on the next few post.
