Why Now?

Well yesterday afternoon was going along great. I had been down to our old apartments to visit friends and let foot foot play with hers. Once we got home Ian was napping great and I was able to eat lunch and attempt to watch Juno again ( I don't like this movie, put that is for another post.) So instead I switched to the princess bride. I got a call from 2 good friends who said they were dropping by. All an all my afternoon was going great, then out of the blue Casey called and says him and his whole dept. have been laid off. Before you all jump on the blame the economy bandwagon, for once it was not. It was his directly above him bosses fault, I will call him FB. Well FB is lazy and to him deadlines were nothing. He also refused to go out and network like his job required. Then because of his stupid he lost the department a major contract. All these leading up the termantion of Casey's deptartment. On the bright side FB also got laid off, I think he should have been termanited 4 months ago when this all began, but that is neither here nor there. Casey's old office boss though is an awesome guy, he called Casey last night and told him he would gladly be a refrence for him and someother things. So wish us luck as we go on this new adventure, that is what I am having to call it to keep from crying, we must keep our head up and keep on keeping on, it is not about us anymore it is about Ian. Music is driving me crazy

So Ian has decided that his music of choice is DMB, Jack Johnson, and 311. This would be ok if at night we didn't have to sit rocking him for an hour to the same music night after night.I just tried to put him down with nothing playing and he woke up screaming 10 minutes later. He has also started sleeping on his side when you put him down in his crip he flips him self up on his side, I don't know what to make of this.
So last night casey shocked me when he willing put Ian down all by himself so I could try and finish putting up laundry. When he came back down stairs at 11:30, I asked him what took so long and he said I fell asleep with him (we have a couch in Ian's room). I laughed in my head and thought whatever works. Last night I know he had trouble getting him down because he kept pooping (3 diapers in an hour) and then something would happen and casey would have to change the pj's Ian was in.

People

I went by work the other day to check on things and to catch up on what has been going on since I have been on leave, of course I had Ian with me. He was being good enjoying his pacifier (he had eaten not an hour before this). When one of my co-workers starts telling he must be hungry because he is sucking on a pacifier because her child never took his pacifier unless he was hungry. Then she goes on and on about things I am doing wrong. I really wanted to say it is my child I will raise him how I choose but I didn't I just let her go on and on.
What is it with women being so surprised when I am out places (ex.: the dog park, target, etc.) and I say I just had a baby they can't believe I am out alone. Then they ask me who I left him with and almost all are shocked when I say I left him with his dad. Come on people if I can't trust him who can I trust. Enough ranting.
I am so excited I start back to work in a little less then 2 weeks. More exciting is the fact we won't have any daycare cost since I work weekends. This next week is gonna my butt.
